Meet Dr. Daniel Gleeson
Born into Chiropractic
Chiropractor Dr. Daniel Gleeson jokes that he was first adjusted in utero because he comes from such a strong chiropractic legacy.
His uncle, Dr. Gary Gleeson, was a popular instructor at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto around the time that young Daniel was born. Years later his other uncle, Dr. Dan Gleeson, and his father, Dr. Rod Gleeson, also became chiropractors and opened practices in Fort William and Port Arthur.
A Deep Commitment to Helping Others
Dr. Gleeson has been freeing people from pain since 1988 at Outback Chiropractic Clinic. As a chiropractor with decades of professional experience, he’s deeply committed to helping his patients become and stay pain-free through not only through chiropractic, but acupuncture and muscle release treatments as well.
OUR SERVICES »
My favorite thing about practice is helping the difficult patient…the one who can’t get relief for their pain no matter what they do. I view this type of patient as a complicated jigsaw puzzle, and it becomes my mission to start fitting the pieces together. This allows me to experience deep fulfillment every single day in my practice.”
A Unique Educational Background
Dr. Gleeson earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1983. During his time at U of W he would often sit in on courses taught by his uncles or father whenever they would lecture in southern Ontario. It was while attending one of these seminars that the engineering student suddenly caught “the family bug”…and the rest is history.
During his years at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Dr. Gleeson was profoundly influenced by one of his instructors, Dr. Ron King. Dr. King didn’t limit himself to only chiropractic adjustments in his practice, but believed instead in having an arsenal of tools at his disposal: he would use soft tissue techniques as well as acupuncture to insure that his patients got the maximum benefit from their treatments.
Upon his graduation, Dr. Gleeson attended advanced acupuncture training in Sri Lanka for a six-week period. Over the years he’s also attended countless seminars and trainings all across North America to increase his abilities to better serve his patients.
Family is Everything
Dr. Gleeson is married to Claudette and has three wonderful children: Natalie, Michael and Renee. His favorite downtime activity is songwriting. “I like to create songs that either make people laugh or make them cry!” he chuckles.
